How I Build

Product-minded engineering: leadership, systems, and AI orchestration

Leadership

From Eagle Scout and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster managing a troop of 53 to MLT Career Prep Fellow and project lead at Nourish'd, I've built habits of ownership and mentorship. At Newmark, I lead stakeholder interviews to drive product adoption; at Target I led system design for the checkout pipeline and collaborated across platform, UX, and fulfillment teams under peak traffic.

Optimizing systems

I'm drawn to systems where small changes compound. At Target I owned the $2B+ same-day delivery flow—improving page speed, reliability, and cross-repo deployments across 6+ micro-frontends, refactoring the bottom-of-funnel experience, and shipping architectural upgrades to Add to Cart that cut errors under peak load. One feature I scoped and implemented is saving $100k/yr.

AI orchestration

I work as a product engineer who uses AI to orchestrate code and ship the right product. With Codex and Opus, I design, architect, and implement features end-to-end—focusing on user value, scalability, and clarity rather than just writing code. AI augments how I think and build so I can move faster from idea to production without sacrificing quality or design.

Current Role at Newmark

Present

Newmark

I currently work at Newmark as a product engineer building a new in-house leasing and transaction platform for commercial real estate brokers. I use Codex and Opus to orchestrate development end-to-end—architecting and shipping high-impact features across the front end and backend, with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and clear user value.

Early Career at Target

2021 - 2025

Target Corporation

I graduated with a Computer Science degree from the University of Virginia in 2021 and began my career at Target Corporation as a software engineer. During my time at Target, I delivered large-scale front-end features for Target.com, most recently engineering the Same Day Delivery (Shipt) experience. I previously worked on Target's digital payments platform, where I helped implement SNAP as a supported tender on Target.com.

Interests & Goals

Always

Personal Growth

I have a strong interest in performance, systems thinking, and building technology that solves real business problems. Outside of engineering, I stay engaged with emerging technology and macroeconomics, and I maintain a long-standing commitment to fitness, nutrition, and continuous learning. My goal is to create software products that meaningfully improve the way people work and live.
